Plot: ‘Passing Place’ is a short documentary based on my own experiences growing up in a remote area, inspired by the BBC Archive Footage ‘The Smallest School in Britain (1974)’. Working with the archive footage makes me reminisce about my own upbringing in the Highlands, and think about how social and physical distance still exists living in these remote areas, forcing young people to move away to find more opportunities elsewhere
