Nguyễn Mạnh Lân

Bio: Nguyễn Mạnh Lân (4th January 1943 - 31st December 2021) was a Vietnamese cinematographer, director, educator and former President of Hanoi Academy for Performing Arts. He was best known for being the chief director of photography for 1985’s classic “Bao giờ cho đến tháng mười”(When the tenth month comes); despite quitting before production ended due to conflicts with director Đặng Nhật Minh, he won Best Cinematography at the 7th Vietnam Film Festival
